Summary

A sweet, cozy small town holiday romance perfect for snuggling up by the fire with a steaming mug of hot cocoa and a cat or two by your side。

When Julie Green’s ailing grandmother asks her to arrange one last party at the old Inn she used to run, Julie can’t say no even though the last thing she wants is to leave the city for middle-of-nowhere Vermont。 Even worse, Cozy Holly Inn is in disrepair, there’s a persnickety cat hiding in the basement and the family of grinches who own the competing inn down the street seem determined to ruin her chances of success。

Nolan Miller retreated to Pinecone Falls, Vermont, to heal his broken heart and help his grandfather run Barrington Lodge - a rustic old bed-and-breakfast that has been in the family for generations。 This year, though, he needs to find a way to get his Christmas spirit back before he turns into a grinch like his father and grandfather。 But even if he gets his spirit back, he’s not letting anyone in again, especially not Julie Green who has made it clear she’s leaving town as soon as she can。

But when Julie needs help, Nolan can’t say no and putting the party together makes Julie realize that small town friendships might have more to offer than big city lights。

Kringle, the cat, only wants a warm home and his forever human。 This girl, Julie, does not seem to fit the bill no matter what the nice lady at the animal shelter told him。 Julie knows nothing about cats so he will do his best to get her to return him to the shelter。 But as the week unfolds, Kringle discovers that people can change in surprising ways and sometimes what you thought you wanted, isn’t what you really needed at all。

Another hallmark Christmas story。 This one had me a little worried after this line “was always careful to only use natural shampoos on Snowball’s fur so it wouldn’t be toxic to the birds。” I nearly quit reading。 But that was it with the corny tree hugger lines。 The names always crack me up “the cozy holly inn”。 Just so festive。 Nice quick read。

I just love this first book in the new series about a young woman returning to her grandmother’s bed-and-breakfast at Christmas to help her with the last Christmas party before her grandmother sells the house and retires。 Julie is such a likable main character: someone who you would like as a friend, daughter or granddaughter。 She meets up with Ivy and Nolan, who she knew as a child while visiting her grandmother。 Such a good story! I can’t wait for Book #2 to see what adventures await for Julie I just love this first book in the new series about a young woman returning to her grandmother’s bed-and-breakfast at Christmas to help her with the last Christmas party before her grandmother sells the house and retires。 Julie is such a likable main character: someone who you would like as a friend, daughter or granddaughter。 She meets up with Ivy and Nolan, who she knew as a child while visiting her grandmother。 Such a good story! Christmas at Cozy Holly Inn by Meredith Summers is the perfect book to cozy up with on the couch with some cocoa。 I really loved this story set in Pinecone Falls。 We meet Julie Green who has returned to town to get her grandmother's Inn ready for a last Christmas party as her grandmother had closed down the inn as it was just too much for her。 Julie really has trouble with the snow and the cat。 We also meet Nolan and his dog and those scenes were really fun。 Grief is a central theme in this othe Christmas at Cozy Holly Inn by Meredith Summers is the perfect book to cozy up with on the couch with some cocoa。 I really loved this story set in Pinecone Falls。 We meet Julie Green who has returned to town to get her grandmother's Inn ready for a last Christmas party as her grandmother had closed down the inn as it was just too much for her。 Julie really has trouble with the snow and the cat。 We also meet Nolan and his dog and those scenes were really fun。 Grief is a central theme in this otherwise lighthearted wintry Christmas story, which is realistic during the holidays, many people are feeling grief for different reasons, loved ones lost or not being able to see loved ones, or lost loves。 I live in Maine and the descriptions of the snow were spot on, it can be too much for some people。The characters were well written。 Go spend some time in Pinecone Falls , you won't be sorry。 。。。more

A good book, well-written and very wintery! All this before coffee。 LOL。 Julie has got her work cut out for her! Reading about her struggles with snow and with the inn was calming for me, but hectic for her! And the cat, well, she says she loves cats, but this one? This one seems too much to handle for Julie。 She does get a bit impatient with him! And Nolan, I immediately liked him and his enthusiastic dog Snowball。 The interaction between cat and dog was very entertaining。 Julie was prickly with A good book, well-written and very wintery! All this before coffee。 LOL。 Julie has got her work cut out for her! And Nolan, I immediately liked him and his enthusiastic dog Snowball。 The interaction between cat and dog was very entertaining。 Julie was prickly with Nolan at first, but of course, that got better as the book progressed。 One thing I must say, I did find the book sad in places。 Nolan’s dad and granddad were both so sad, there was a lot of grief surrounding him, and in a time that I’m very sad myself, I was very susceptible to this emotion。 The fact that the author was able to transfer that sadness to me, does show how skilled she is, I really felt it! And luckily, as things tend to do in books, things got better along the way。 Beautiful ending! <3 。。。more
